The location marks the birthplace of Dan Murphy’s, Chapel Street in Prahran, where Dan Murphy himself first opened the store in 1952.
Fast forward to today and you will find a large arrangement of auto sliding doors by Focus for easy access and stock storage on the Burtons cool rooms, built with insulated 100mm floor panels, ensure thermal stability and energy efficiency throughout the day and night.
For each room there are control boxes that let technicians and store managers monitor performance and troubleshoot quickly. These smart control panels give real-time feedback, helping staff keep the system running smoothly without a second thought.
Driving the whole system is a Panasonic OCU-CR2000VF8A vertical discharge condensing unit designed for tight spaces and high efficiency. Its compact footprint and vertical airflow make it ideal for dense urban locations like Chapel Street.
The entire setup is fine-tuned with door temperature sensors, humidity monitors and suction line check valves all working in unison to maintain the perfect environment for everything.
Overseeing the temperature monitoring is the Emerson Site Supervisor system.
