Drakes Hackham SA
Baker Refrigeration recently completed the refrigeration installation at Drakes Hackham in South Australia, supporting the store with efficient, future-focused refrigeration technology.
The project included the installation of an outdoor Epta ECO₂ Large transcritical CO₂ refrigeration rack. Using CO₂ as a natural refrigerant provides reliable performance with a significantly lower environmental impact than many traditional refrigerants.
Our South Australian team also installed a full store of refrigerated display cabinets provided by Drakes.
As part of the upgrade, the store’s existing Baker Refrigeration deli cabinet was retained and retrofitted to operate on R448A, extending the useful life of the equipment while meeting the store’s updated refrigeration requirements.
The completed project combines new display cabinets, transcritical CO₂ technology and the practical reuse of existing equipment to deliver a reliable, efficient refrigeration solution throughout the store.
The installation is similar to our recent project at Drakes Lightsview, with the key difference being that the Epta refrigeration rack at Hackham is installed outdoors.
