FreshPlus is a community-based Supermarket chain providing quality fresh food, continental and local grocery products in a modern and friendly atmosphere. They specialise in a wide variety of Halal Meat and Deli products.
In their brand new FreshPlus Craigieburn (VIC) outlet you can find a great range of AJ Baker latest cabinets and technology. When entering the store, customers are greeted by a custom made coffee desk supplied by our partner Criocabin (from Italy). This is followed by a matching semi-high Criocabin Elisir display case which the customer is using for its signature Turkish delights. FreshPlus is proud of their fresh meat display which is presented in a tailor-made Criocabin Explorer static gravity coil counter.
On the opposite side of the store you can find our Epta Rock Eco ventilated vertical chillers with glass doors, specifically designed to guarantee maximum energy savings and perfect conservation of fresh food, even the most temperature sensitive.
Further up the store you can find the new Epta Skylight glass doors vertical freezer. The Skylight freezer features an increased glass door with no case canopy, which maximises visibility into the case. It has LED lighting, a larger display area, stainless steel bumpers and a great energy efficiency due to low heat extraction rate and low consumption LED door lighting. One of the main features of the freezers is the reduction of the defrost cycle to one per week, which reduces the energy consumption and results in a more stable product temperature.
At the very centre of the store you can find two Columbia Twice plug-in semi-high island displays, which the customer is using for pre-packed food and ideal for grab’n’go.
FreshPlus made the innovative decision to install Epta’s CO2 Transcritical technology as the refrigeration system for their new supermarket. For this store we selected the ECO2Small Transcritical compressor rack which runs both medium and low temperature in one combined frame. The compressor rack has a weather-proof enclosure and is located on an external roof platform.The decision to use Transcritical CO2 was based on energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of the system. Other energy saving initiatives within the system are Carel electronic E2V expansion valves, variable speed drives on the compressors and gas cooler fans and an adiabatic Carel chill-boost to assist in the hot weather.
