According to the latest issue of "Accelerate Australia & NZ", we are one of the 15 pioneering companies who have helped to make the business case for natural refrigerants as alternatives to HFCs, one of the organisations that have played a critical role in advancing the adoption of Natural Refrigerants in Australia and New Zealand.
We have been involved in the design and installation of transcritical CO2 supermarket projects for five years. Since the first project in 2013, the company has been involved with 14 installations in Australia. This is with both multinational clients and independent supermarket owners. We partner with the Epta Group, and by utilising their European expertise and our company’s skills, we have been able to apply the technology to Australian conditions. We see that transcritical CO2 is the way forward for the supermarket industry in this country, with the impact of the European phasedown of HFCs, and the reduction of HFC import quotas in Australia.

During the recent ATMOAustralia 2018, our Managing Director Mike Baker discussed the growth of transcritical CO2 in Australian supermarkets. Mike outlined the need for increased training and upskilling, and the results seen from the latest advancements in transcritical efficiency.
Mike Baker is a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer. He moved into the family business in 2005. The business has expanded rapidly, with our fourth generation company now having offices in every mainland Australian state. Mike has been involved in the implementation of both cascade CO2 and transcritical CO2 technology to independent and major supermarket chains in Australia.
Our Company is proud to support as Silver Sponsor next ATMOsphere Australia 2018. The Conference returns to Sydney and will bring together more HVAC&R industry leaders from Australia and New Zealand to discuss the region’s latest natural refrigerant developments.
The conference, taking place a day before ARBS - Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Building Services Exhibition (8 -10 May 2018), the biggest convention in the region that will bring thousands of HVAC&R stakeholders in town.
ATMOsphere Australia 2018 will allow for more networking opportunities with top industry professionals and will act as a forum for learning and exchanging opinions with the market’s leaders in natural refrigerant-based technology.
After a great success at the TAFE NSW Training center and a high demand from the participants, training initiatives on natural refrigerants will be discussed between prominent HVAC&R associations and training experts.
International Refrigeration Day is celebrated annually on April 17, which marks the anniversary of James Harrison’s birthday in 1816. Harrison is known as the founding father of refrigeration. He was the first to create ice via mechanical means, laying the foundation for the Australian HVAC&R industry.
We join the world-wide recognition of the many people and organisations who contribute their time, energy, creativity, innovation, and countless hours to provide refrigeration services around the world.
