2022 Metcash EXPO in Queensland
In mid-July some of the team attended the Metcash Food EXPO in Queensland at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, can you believe the last time it was on was in 2019! It was fabulous to return and catch up with friends old and new.
The EXPO started on Sunday 17 July with a flurry of activity from IGA store owners who gathered from across Australia. Our stand showcased supermarket favourites such as the Criocabin Enixe Deli counter that was filled with fabulous produce supplied by Bertocchi Smallgoods. The counter is easy to fill either via the lift-up glass at the front or the rear glass sliding doors.
Dessert lovers were tempted by the extra large display area of the Bonnet Névé Latitude LS that showcased its diversity by displaying fresh berries from the local market and delicious cheesecakes thanks to the Cheesecake Shop.
The team on the stand may have snuck a few of the fresh Wellness Juices by youfoodz that were displayed with the ready-to-go meals, also supplied by youfoodz, both showcased in the Bonnet Névé Offlip 3 Green, an open, plug-in chiller, perfect for grab-and-go supermarket products.
The Bonnet Névé Curl 3 Green showed the power of an open chiller by keeping the popular Baker-branded water refreshingly cold. Alongside the chiller was a new arrival, the matching Curl Hot case.
The Bonnet Névé Skylight Integral, a plug-in supermarket-sized freezer, was also on display. This freezer is available with handy pull-out wire drawers for easy packing of stock.
The final item on display was the Bonnet Névé Multifresh Plus, kindly stocked on the day by Bundaberg. This chiller is a plug-in model using eco-friendly natural refrigerant.
Out in the fresh area, we showcased the Criocabin Enixe counters with deli goods, pasty products and seafood as well as the Bonnet Névé Stone, perfect for meat, seafood and poultry goods and the sleek Bonnet Névé Multifresco Plus with a selection of smallgoods.
Outside of the exhibition, there were plenty of opportunities to network at the events held by Metcash. On July 17th we attended the Metcash Exhibitors Awards for the EXPO Awards, where we were pleased to learn we won Best Equipment Exhibitor for 2022, solidifying the efforts by the team in QLD, including Hamish and the warehouse team as well as staff from the Perth branch.
