2023 Metcash Food Expo

This week our sales teams from around Australia attended the Metcash Food EXPO on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The EXPO was the chance for the team to speak with store owners and suppliers as well as showcase our new products on the market and our supermarket favourites.

The Fresh Area at the EXPO was busy with activity and suppliers showcasing the latest fresh produce in many of our supermarket refrigerated display cabinets.

Over on our stand, we showcased a fantastic variety of products, while proudly supporting our amazing suppliers. From the Bonnet Névé Rock Eco Plus Remote, which kept our own bottled water and refreshing beverages chilled by Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, to the Bonnet Névé Offlip Hot, an ideal hot food display case perfect for roast chooks, which was on display with faux hot chooks from Display Decorations and hot chook bags supplied by IGA Queen Street Village.

We also had the Bonnet Névé Multifreeze Plus filled with healthy Community Co frozen berries, also delivered by IGA Queen Street Village, and ready-to-heat pies supplied by Villi’s Family Bakery, there was also the Bonnet Névé Multifresh Plus, ensuring a constant rotation of cool drinks for both visitors and the team, as well as a laugh with the refrigeration jokes on the bottles.

And finally, for all the meat lovers out there, the Criocabin Enixe Deli Counter displaying a delectable range of meat products supplied by the team at Metcash.

As well as showcasing our range of supermarket refrigeration there were networking opportunities in the evenings including 2023 Exhibitor Awards Cocktail Function where Wedderburn Scales took out the Best Equipment Exhibitor Award (congratulations!).

The AUR Cocktail Function where we were hosted by John Leroy and the never-to-be-missed Gala Extravaganza where the team enjoyed the celebrations, line-dancing and music by country music legends Kaylee Bell, Casey Barnes, Troy Cassar-Daley and Shannon Noll.

A final thanks to our team in Queensland who completed the EXPO bump-in and bump-out.
