IGA Awards of Excellence 2024
The 2024 IGA Awards of Excellence have highlighted the amazing achievements of independent supermarkets across the nation. The awards are a recognition of the dedication and innovation within the industry and the role these independent stores play in shaping local economies and fostering community connections.
With ceremonies held across the country, the 2024 edition of the IGA Awards of Excellence has honoured outstanding supermarkets in each state.
The Western Australian leg of the IGA Awards of Excellence was held at the Grand Ballroom at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday 9 March 2024.
The theme was Alice in Wonderland. After the initial panic of “we have underdressed” – while walking through a high-school school ball gathering – we were greeted by the themed foyer with a unique champagne server.
The Grand Ballroom was beautifully decorated and the entertainment by a group of contortionists was eye-watering (and knee-pain-inducing) amazing!
Mike, Brendan, Vicki and Brendan’s partner Kendall attended the Western Australian IGA Awards of Excellence. It was wonderful to see so many of the supermarkets Baker Refrigeration have supplied and installed equipment to be recognized for their efforts.
For Baker Refrigeration the event was a chance to celebrate the accolades received by many of the stores we’ve worked with by supplying and installing commercial refrigeration and continue to support through our maintenance plans and servicing.
Seeing our clients’ hard work and dedication recognised is a testament to the partnerships forged between all suppliers and retailers.
The awards journey will continue for the deserving winners of each state when they attend the National Awards in Queensland during July at the Metcash Food EXPO.
