Metcash Food EXPO 2024: What a Show!

Firstly, we want to thank every person who took the time to reminisce about Mitch at the EXPO. He was never far from our thoughts throughout the week.

The 2024 Metcash Food EXPO kicked off early for the planning team. Weeks of case movements, drafting, design, and ordering all brought the stand to life.

Special thanks to the awesome Queensland installation team who made sure some 34 cases and cabinets were all delivered in one piece and running smoothly. We really could not have done it without the Queensland Installation team: Ricky, Glen Y, Jai, Jamin, Prakit, and Roger.

The EXPO was a huge success for us with case sales at the show and many new quotes to complete. We showcased the Skylight Integral, introduced the updated Rock Eco Plus and the Max Deli counter, and the Latitude island berry case was popular once again.

We also launched the new ALL-CHILL Coastal, an upright chiller, as part of the launch, we held a competition where we gave away a Coastal 2 Door chiller. With over 80 entries, we drew the raffle live at our stand and announced Rohan and Jodie Simpson from Kempsey Central IGA as the winners!

Our stand was not only brought to life with the professional stand build by 3Dcomm and our marketing—all designed in-house—it was also the amazing produce and products we stocked the cases with. This is the one show where you know, no matter what, the product will look amazing on display. Thank you once again to our friends at Bertocchi, Bundaberg, Community Co, Catalano’s, Grove Juice, Perfection Products, and Boost Juice – your products added that final wow factor to our stand.

We were asked by a few visitors where all the food goes, and we are always proud to let them know the food is donated to Food Bank Australia. Our bump-out team was more than happy to help unload the cases.

Some of the team were lucky enough to attend the IGA National Retail Excellence Awards where our Perth friends at Tuckerfresh IGA Kinross took out the top award of the night, the IGA National Retailer of the Year Award! We shared some photos we took at the opening and our Perth Installation team is super proud to have completed the installation at this award-winning store!
