Aldi Springvale South (VIC)
The doors opened last week on our new Aldi Springvale South (VIC). The store features a modern design with redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, LED lighting and improved point-of-sale displays and store signage.
Also this supermarket adopts our energy-efficient chest freezers and top freezers which utilise HC refrigerants and VSD compressor control. The main refrigeration plant operates with a EptaPack utilising CO₂ R744 (GWP=1) and R134a (for the medium temperature display cases). The Sub Critical Hybrid CO₂/R134a design delivers a reduction in the carbon footprint of the refrigeration plant.
Other energy saving initiatives within the plant design are electronic expansion valves, variable speed drives on condenser fans and capacity control for compressors. The store manager can also supervise the case temperatures and plant operation via a centralised Danfoss supervisory control panel.
