Refrigeration Installation & Deli Solution
The Baker Refrigeration team in South Australia installed the new refrigeration and food retail solution for the Drakes Torrensville supermarket, covering plant equipment, in-store refrigeration systems and a custom-manufactured deli counter designed specifically for the site.
The project included installation of a centralised CO₂ refrigeration plant, engineered to support a wide range of display cases, coolrooms and food preparation areas across the store. The plant layout was carefully coordinated to meet structural, access and safety requirements while allowing for efficient servicing and long-term performance
In-store, Baker Refrigeration installed multiple refrigeration systems servicing deli, meat, bakery, dairy, produce and freezer areas. The scope included open and glass-door display cases, island freezers, service deli refrigeration, preparation rooms and coolrooms.
A key feature of the project was the custom manufacture and installation of the deli counter by our Stainless-Steel team also located in South Australia. Designed to align with Drakes’ operational needs and visual standards, the deli counter now provides optimal product presentation, temperature control and workflow efficiency for staff, while enhancing the overall customer experience.
