Wongan Hills IGA – WA
IGA Wongan Hills Plus Liquor is located in the North-West of the Western Australian Wheatbelt, an area famous for the bright wildflowers and farming, is now also now known for being the latest IGA to be re–furbished in the Meers group family of regional stores.
As you walk into the store you are greeted with an array of fresh fruit and Cellarbrations Liquor to the right.
The fresh produce is housed in the super energy efficient Bonnet Névé Rock L Eco 22 Glass Door Chiller, as stores become more energy efficient and keen to reduce costs and their environmental footprint they will lean towards choosing refrigeration with glass doors, just as this IGA has. The beautiful LED lighting helps provide the perfect ambience for fresh produce. Store staff are commenting on the extended life they are seeing with their fresh produce behind doors.
Along the aisle, things get super chilly with 3 rows of the Bonnet Névé Crystal L22 glass door freezer.
Heading back out to the fresh area you’ll see the Tecfrigo Hot Island Merchandiser a hot food display case with 360 degrees of customer access and two large hexagonal display levels showcasing the store’s hot meals on the go.
The Deli section in the store has been re-opened as part of the refurbishment, and the amazingly tasty – and yes we ate a lot of food there – fresh hot and cold meals plus the delicatessen products are displayed in the serve-over Criocabin Enixe EI100 and the hot meals in the Criocabin Enixe EI450 bain-marie.
The dairy and small goods are displayed and kept cool in the Bonnet Névé Stone N15 Eco Island case, this low-height case is perfect for prepacked sandwiches, delicatessen meats, cheeses and dips.
In the corner of the store is the Bonnet Névé Rock Eco glass door meat case, another energy-efficient choice the store has made, the Bonnet Névé Rock Eco glass door dairy cases make up 19 metres of milk, cheese, yoghurts and other chilled products.
In the Liquor area by Cellarbrations, we added 5 metres of Bonnet Névé Rock Eco glass door cases to increase their pre-mix RTD selection.
All the new commercial refrigeration equipment was added to the existing plant at the store, with the decision to use glass door display cases we expect the store to see a reduction in their energy costs and in turn a reduction in their impact on the environment.
If you are planning to visit the Wheatbelt or are a local, be sure to stock up on fresh produce, ready-to-go meals and everything else you need.
